Urban- Desert Senior Session

When Tania reached out in hopes to book a senior session for her daughter Madison, I was so excited to help. Senior sessions are all about capturing that fun youthful energy that surrounds your last year of school and I couldn’t wait to get started. I immediately started brainstorming ideas, locations, and poses that would be perfect for us.

Madison wanted a mix of urban landscape and desert. So, we decided to head to one of Tucson’s most beautiful neighborhoods, the Mercado District, for the first half of our session and hop on over to my all-time favorite desert location in the Tucson Mountains to catch the late afternoon glow during Golden Hour. It was November and the weather was absolutely perfect. Sunny and warm turning a little crisp towards the end of the session.

If you’ve never been to Mercado District it’s definitely a must see. There are so many beautiful homes, archways, and colorful accents it’s hard to choose where to go first.

Madison showed up to her session with an easy smile and great energy and I knew we were going to have an amazing time. This senior class president is super sweet and a busy member of the National Honors Society, Student Council, and still manages to kill it on the Soccer Team.

After a short 15-minute drive over to the Tucson Mountains and an outfit change we finished our session against a gorgeous glowing desert backdrop. Golden Hour in the desert is magical and looks different every single time. But I especially love how her personality shines right through each and every photo.

Congratulations Madison on this amazing accomplishment! I’m wishing you nothing but the best for your future. Thank you so much for allowing me the opportunity to be your senior photographer and capturing this special moment in your life!
